Expression: Thank God (Graças a Deus)

Não importa a religião. Quando conseguimos passar por uma situação chata ou percebemos que algo deu certo, é quase automático sair um “graças a Deus”. Mas e no inglês, será que também é assim? Quase. Na língua inglesa, falamos “Thank God”, que seria um “obrigado Deus ”. Mas não esqueça, não há ‘s’. Fala-se Thank God, e não Thanks God.

Uma expressão cool muito utilizada nos EUA e na Inglaterra é a “Thank God is Friday (Graças a Deus é Sexta-feira)”, que pode ser dita quando algo legal ou engraçado acontece, independente do dia da semana.  Na internet, usa-se a sigla TGIF .
